Khairpur police operation leaves four dead sparks investigation after a raid in the Shahid Shaheed mountainous area. The incident involved Sukhur police conducting an operation to arrest a wanted suspect in a previous murder case. A child was also among the deceased.

According to SSP Azhar Mughal, police launched the operation to arrest a suspect wanted in a four-person murder case. He said the team used drones during the raid in the rugged area of Khairpur. As a result, four people, including a child, were killed.

Meanwhile, authorities responded quickly after the incident. Three station house officers from the involved police stations were suspended. In addition, one officer was arrested. A high-level inquiry committee, led by the SSP Ghotki, was formed to investigate the matter.

However, the incident triggered strong public reaction in the area. Residents placed the bodies at Maryam Toob Chowk in Khairpur and staged a protest. They demanded justice and accountability for the deaths during the police operation.

Furthermore, the Sindh Interior Minister directed the DIG Sukhur to conduct a transparent and detailed investigation. He ordered a full review of all aspects of the case.
